by the United States Government as one of only six "All American Roads" in the United
States because of its outstanding scenery. This great highway winds over 233 miles
of Alpine scenery, mining towns, ski resorts and Mesa Verde National Park. It is
a wonderful day trip from the lodge.
Ridgway is nestled in the San Juan Mountains. It is a paradise for those who love

 Ridgway-Ouray Lodge and Suites is conveniently
located on the spectacular "San Juan Skyway" (Highway 550) between Durango and Telluride,
"the most beautiful place you will ever ski". The lodge is 7,000 feet above sea
level and is surrounded by 14,000 foot mountain peaks. Ridgway offers warm days and cool
evenings in the summer and sunny winter days with moderate temperatures.
